TRAINING - ARTICLE | Ideate Explorer is great at hundreds of model auditing and model management tasks. One common use involves using the Ideate Query function within Ideate Explorer to find in-place families. In-place families are not parametric and are limited in the amount of the parameters they can contain. Also, excessive in-place families can cause the Revit model size to increase because unlike component families, they are actually duplicated for each placement.

SUPPORT - ARTICLE | We are pleased to report the results of our August 2020 survey in which we asked BIM Managers and BIM Leads from around the world how often their office and staff use Ideate Explorer. In this blog post, we share information on the tasks they reported performing daily. Over the next few weeks, we will share information about the tasks they reported performing weekly and at various times.

SUPPORT - ARTICLE | We often get asked a variety of different questions about streamlining electrical workflows using Ideate Software. So, I’ll address a few electrical and equipment workflows in two parts, or should I say two circuits? Hopefully, you had a chance to review Circuit #1, and here is Circuit #2, which highlights Ideate Explorer and IdeateApps.

TRAINING - ARTICLE | Well, your interest in the history and current state of the software got our brain cells churning a bit. The team and I realized that although we have a lot of videos on many of the amazing auditing and discovery workflows that Ideate Explorer supports, we didn’t have one that put the whole thing together. So, we packed all the features and functions of Ideate Explorer into a 10-minute video, Ideate Explorer Overview.

TRAINING - ARTICLE | One of the requirements for specifying a door is to know which way it swings, both left or right and, if it has a keyed side, in or out. In Revit this information is not readily available, but the information is there. This piece will help you manage your door quantity takeoffs by first identifying how Revit represents this information and how to use that information to populate the doors with the correct information using Ideate BIMLink or to verify that information with Ideate Query in Ideate Explorer.
