Ideate BIMLink 2015.5, Ideate BIMLink 2016.3, and Ideate BIMLink 2017.0 are now available. These solutions are designed to work with Autodesk Revit 2015, 2016, and 2017, and the timing aligns with the Autodesk launch of Revit 2017.

Ideate BIMLink is a Revit add-in solution that dramatically reduces the time spent on Revit data management tasks. It enhances workflows by enabling users to pull information from Revit files into Microsoft Excel for easy editing and the push it back into Revit with speed, ease and accuracy.

“Ideate Software maintains a very active user community,” said Glynnis Patterson, director of software development, Ideate Software. “We continuously listen to our clients. We hear about their pain points and their desire to push the boundaries of BIM, design innovation, and workflow collaboration. We base our developments on their feedback and requests.” Highlights of the enhancements in this release include:

  • Improved accuracy and ease of use through the addition of drop-down lists
  • Increased accuracy and user confidence through new quality control sample content
  • Greater opportunity for creative designs through new curtain panel management within the Family Editor
  • Stronger team communications and pre-construction models through the ability to easily use survey data points.

“Our goal is to help our clients be more successful,” said Bob Palioca, president, Ideate Software. “Updating Ideate BIMLink concurrently with the latest Autodesk Revit launch is one of the many ways we do this, because it enables our clients to benefit from the advancements as soon as possible.”
