San Francisco, CA, 11/03/2015 – Ideate Software, a veteran Autodesk Developer Network member, announced today that updates are available for Ideate Explorer for Revit 2015 and 2016. These updates to Ideate Explorer for Revit (version 2015.4 and 2016.2) include two new and significant features, as well as other improvements.
Ideate Explorer for Revit user feedback was integral in the development of the two new features included in this update: Navigate and Ideate Query.
Navigate provides an efficient way to expertly search, select, and filter on the project documentation including: Legends, Schedules, Sheets and Views. Navigate lets users customize their browsing experience on the fly without touching the Project Browser organization.
Ideate Query is a powerful tool within Ideate Explorer that lets users dig more deeply into the Revit model. BIM Managers and production staff alike will find the Query tool an invaluable way to make complex selection sets or to audit the model.
Ron Palma, ACI, AEC Application Specialist, Ideate Inc. started using Ideate Explorer early on for quality control of construction documents, and is pleased that Query gives another level of control when selecting Revit elements with Ideate Explorer. “Ideate Query within Ideate Explorer gives me a great deal of insight and control as a project manager,” says Palma. “For example, I can filter Revit elements by the phase to which they are assigned, giving me greater confidence that my construction documents are complete.” Palma adds, “Query can also narrow my search by applying additional filters to my original selection. Using these additional filters, I can find and select exactly what I’m looking for, address issues promptly, and produce a quality final product.”
Other improvements in this release of Ideate Explorer for Revit:
- View your project data by Phase to quickly spot inconsistencies.
- Pause before you delete! With Ideate Delete you get a quick summary reminder of what you are about to delete – a simple yet powerful safeguard.
- Finding elements is even easier now that the Show Elements option has been improved to support hidden 2D elements.
Bob Palioca, President, Ideate Software says, “I’m delighted to announce this Ideate Explorer for Revit point release. Our close working relationships with the AEC community have been vital to this development. We believe the new features within this release will give our customers a competitive edge as they navigate ever more complex Revit models.
