The first ever BILT Conference (Building Infrastructure Lifecycle, supported by Technology) recently wrapped up in Singapore. This conference had previously been called the Revit Technology Conference.
BILT is an annual event run in multiple regions around the globe, designed to cater to the needs of those who design, build, operate, and maintain our built environment. As a community of professionals, it is dedicated to improving the way industry works together.
The Singapore event kicked off a series of 2017 events that will bring the BILT Conference to Adelaide, Australia; Toronto, Canada; and Aarhus, Denmark.
Still a very Revit-centric event, but the classes, meetings, and discussions the event has expanded to include BIM process, VDC, Digital Engineering, and the overall built-environment lifecycle for buildings and infrastructure.
Ideate Software is an exhibitor at all four BILT events for 2017. We were thrilled to make the LONG journey to Singapore. It’s 9,535 miles from New York City to Singapore on a direct flight. Since it’s only a mere 215 miles from New York up to Boston, I will use the New York flight-miles number as my yardstick! I’m located in Boston, Massachusetts, and I took a direct flight from Boston to Hong Kong. That was ONLY 7,945 miles and a very short 16 hour duration. Yes, it’s literally halfway around the world from Boston!
The trip was worth the long journey to discuss all things Revit and BIM with many Ideate Software existing customers and new prospects. Ideate Software also took the time to visit AEC firms in Singapore and Hong Kong before and after the BILT Asia Conference.
It was an exciting trip, full of incredible discussions about the power of BIM and Ideate Software for this region.
We look forward to more engaging discussions with our customers in Australia, North America, and Europe as the BILT Conference spans around the globe in the coming months. Please look for us at BILT ANZ, BILT North America, and BILT Europe in 2017!
The flight to Australia will be a long one too, so Toronto and Denmark will seem like a short walk up the road for us! However, Ideate Software is thrilled to be a part of the BILT world-wide events.
