Enhancements to Ideate Explorer Streamline Revit Warnings Management

San Francisco, CA, September 13, 2021 – Ideate Software, an Autodesk® AEC Industry Partner and Autodesk® Authorized Developer, is pleased to announce that Ideate Explorer, which allows additional exported data from Revit to Excel for easy reviewing, is now integrated with Ideate Automation, a scripting solution that schedules the process to run at times convenient to the users.

Ideate Explorer users will now find these additionally requested data fields included within the manual export to Excel or CSV file format: Revit file name, date of the export, and the warning category. Additionally, the Power BI template (v2), available by customer request, has been updated to include a new visualization called “Top 10 Warnings.”

Customers that have both Ideate Explorer and Ideate Automation will achieve additional benefits.

“With these latest enhancements, Ideate Automation can export curated Revit warnings data for further analysis or dashboarding,” said Glynnis Patterson, Director of Software Development, Ideate Software. “Managing Revit warnings data is a critical step in maintaining model health, and now it’s easier than ever.”

Here are some highlights of Ideate Automation improvements that will help Revit users avoid slow synchronization times and even file corruption:

  • Review critical Revit warnings through automated exports of Ideate Explorer warnings detail and summary data fields, including file size and warnings threshold data
  • Automatically export both Ideate Explorer warnings data and Ideate BIMLink health check data into a single file
  • Support for Power BI through an updated template (v3), available by customer request, which includes two new visualizations: Top 10 Warnings and Warnings Over Time
