Emerging Technologies Highlighted at NXT BLD Conference

As a company focused on delivering relevant solutions to companies in the AECO space, Ideate Software is committed to being aware of current trends as well as emerging trends. 

That’s why I attended the NXT BLD (Next Build) conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London. The goal of the conference was to explore emerging technologies beyond BIM for the build environment. Industry practitioners, software developers, and investors met to discuss their views on what’s next and help shape the future of related software development.

I enjoyed seeing and talking with many Ideate Software customers who attended and/or led presentations on some very interesting and thought-provoking topics, including:

• Transforming the industry with artificial intelligence
• Automating drawing documentation
• Leveraging technologies such as AR, XR, generative design, and the metaverse
• Use of data and collaboration across multiple applications
• Focusing on data, interoperability, and sustainability 

After the conference, I walked away with a lot of information about potential enhancements to the use of 3D models and the data associated with them as well as the enthusiasm of the speakers, which included industry leaders, renowned technologists, and design technology developers.
