We were delighted to welcome CBT Architects to our latest customer webinar. CBT Architects is a Boston-based design firm with about 230 architects, interior designers, and urban planners. For 51 years, CBT has worked on a broad range of national and international projects, including urban district development, hospitality environments, multi-family residential, corporate, civic, and academic.
The company uses the full suite of Ideate Software applications. They joined this event to showcase the productivity improvements they have experienced using 3 workflow examples from their daily work.
Please see below a recording of the webinar. Please watch it and share the link with others you think would benefit from the information.
During the 30-minute session, Nirva Fereshetian, CIO and Associate Principal, CBT Architects, provided an overview of how her team stays current on Revit software and Revit plugins, including Ideate Software applications, through regular lunch-and-learn sessions.
“We use Ideate tools on all scales from resolving individual model issues to helping project teams validate/check their project data, to using office-wide information on our model management processes to proactively support all projects.”
After Nirva’s introduction, three members of the CBT Design Technology team demonstrated how they use our applications:
- Rood Vincent showed how he uses Ideate XRay to reduce the time spent finding hidden elements from 30 to two minutes.
- Lynn Quagliato provided a real-life example of how she used Ideate BIMLink to validate the data in a hotel project in which they needed to get furniture counts for hundreds of units.
- William Paquette demonstrated how he uses Ideate Explorer to quickly assess issues and easily clean up models during frequent reviews.
Following their presentations, I facilitated a discussion and the CBT team answered questions on several topics, including on how they use the applications, how they measure return on investment, and how they structure their lunch-and-learn sessions.
