Ideate Explorer for Revit can export a list of selected elements to Excel via the Detail View. Read: Observe Revit Elements with Ideate Explorer’s Detail View.
There are some known limitations that will cause the results to be empty.
If you are using the latest version, and choosing the *.XLSX as your file type and still getting an empty file you may need to limit the size of your export.
There is a hard limit of 8 MB data that can be pushed into an Excel file in a single export. Complex MEP of Fabrication datasets can bump up to this limit, but you may need o use trial-and-error to determine how much of your selection you may need to filter out.
One method for doing this would be to use the Filter Read: Filter Dropdowns to Manage Revit Elements in Ideate Explorer and select the <Model> option first and then make a selection set.
