How Can I Create a Custom Filter in Revit with Ideate Explorer?
Use Revit's custom View filters to customize your selection within Ideate Explorer. Link to the Autodesk Wiki on Creating Filters for Revit. These filters can be transferred to your project template file via the Transfer Project Settings tool.
Custom Filter Examples
- "MEP Devices" filter where the Communication Devices, Data Devices, Fire Alarm Devices, etc. categories are included
- "Exterior Walls" filter where the Wall category is included and the Filter rule has the Function parameter equal to "Exterior"
- "Cast-in-Place" filter where the Structural Columns, Structural Foundations, and Structural Framing categories are selected and the Filter rule has the Structural Material parameter equal to "Concrete - Case-in-Place Concrete"
