Ideate ViewCreator for Revit FAQ

Which types of Revit views does Ideate ViewCreator handle?

Ideate ViewCreator is designed to support the batch creation of plan-based Revit views. This includes floor plans, ceiling plans, structural plans, and area plans.

In the Q2/2018 release we are adding support for elevation and section views in the Duplicate method.

How is a duplicate view made to selected level(s)?

Ideate ViewCreator gives you the ability to copy the properties of a view that belongs to one level and replicate them to newly created views for one or more selected levels. During this process ViewCreator will be able to match important view properties such as view crop size (or scope box), grid settings, and custom properties, to ensure that your new views land within the project browser as expected.

Can I build project-specific or company-standard view naming rules?

Ideate ViewCreator ships with 20+  rules that can be used as a starting point for further customization, or you can create your own rules. Learn more: Creating Custom Rules in Ideate ViewCreator for Revit
