Your BIM deliverables should reflect the quality standards of your company. With Ideate Align your handover documents will look and feel as solid as your building design, because all plan views will be perfectly synchronized across all sheets. Yes, you can use Revit’s Guide Grid, but we all know that’s a partial solution that still requires several steps for each sheet. With Ideate Align you can align all plan views to each other, across the entire set, with one button, saving you time and improving the quality of your deliverable.
When Ideate Align is used to relocate Viewports on Sheets, the Views are relocated as described below.
When the Alignment View is a Floor, Ceiling, Area or Structural Plan View, and the selected View(s) to align are designated as "similar", then those views will be relocated such that the X and Y model coordinates will maintain the same relationship to the title block as the Alignment View. This will ensure that any plan-based view will be organized on the Sheets in a similar fashion. When non-similar plan-based View(s) are selected to be aligned, then those Views will have the same X and Y relationship between the upper-left corner of the Viewport and the title block.
When the Alignment View is not a plan-based view, then the selected Views will have the same X and Y relationship between the upper-left corner of the Viewport and the title block.
Ideate Align works for any View type, including Schedules, Legends, Sections, Elevations and Drafting Views. Plan Views have the benefit of being placed according to their model-based coordinates as noted above.
