Ideate Software is pleased to announce that updates are available for Ideate Sticky for Autodesk Revit versions 2015, 2016, and 2017. Ideate Sticky imports and synchronizes Microsoft Excel file content into the Revit project environment.
In addition to fixing a few bugs, Ideate Software has reengineered Ideate Sticky for Revit 2017 to maintain visual fidelity between Stickies across pre-2017 and 2017 Revit versions.
This update is in response to the fact that Revit 2017 will cause most Revit text to take up more space than it did in the past. Fonts such as Arial and Calibri will have a pronounced difference, while fonts such as ISOSCPEUR will not change. “Our goal is to ensure, to the degree possible, that this text size change does not impact Ideate Sticky,” said Glynnis Patterson, Director of Software Development, Ideate Software. Optimized to work well with Arial, Arial Narrow, Calibri, Times New Roman, and ISCOPEUR, Stickies created within 2017 will closely match the size and word wrap found within the pre-2017 versions of Ideate Sticky.
“We recommend that users migrating projects to Revit 2017 inspect schedule headers, schedule body text, generic annotation families, text, and labels,” continued Glynnis. “To restore existing Stickies to their original sizes and word-wrap conditions, users simply need to use the Update function in Ideate Sticky after completing the project migration.”
These upgrades follow significant Ideate Sticky enhancements launched in December, 2015, including:
- Support for Line Style Mapping
- Added support for hidden rows and columns
- The ability to import images from Excel for version 2015 and newer
- The ability to use any Named Region as a way of defining a Sticky
“Ideate Software maintains a strong relationship with Autodesk, said Bob Palioca, President, Ideate Software. “The latest release of Ideate Sticky demonstrates that our relationship enables us to develop timely solutions that positively impact the users’ experience.”
To ensure consistent graphic results throughout your teams, all Ideate Sticky end-users should be updated at the same time.
